- Identify user needs, roles, critical applications and service priorities before designing ICT infrastructure.
- Analyse infrastructure constraints, including budget, scalability, security, redundancy, maintainability and compliance requirements.
- Estimate core system sizing needs, including CPU, memory, storage and network throughput.
- Compare open-source, licensed, cloud and on-premise infrastructure options based on organisational needs.
- Deploy and configure a hypervisor as the foundation for a virtualized ICT infrastructure.
- Configure storage, redundancy and virtual networking components to support reliable infrastructure services.
- Design WAN/LAN connectivity, VLAN segmentation and VPN-based secure remote access.
- Create and configure virtual machines with appropriate CPU, memory, storage and service roles.
- Design backup strategies, retention policies, monitoring mechanisms and automated alerts.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure misconfigurations and refine designs through iterative problem-solving.
Förkunskaper
- Basic understanding of computer systems and networking concepts is recommended.
- Basic familiarity with operating systems, virtual machines or IT infrastructure is helpful.
- No advanced cybersecurity operations experience is required.
- The course is suitable for learners who want practical exposure to ICT infrastructure design and deployment.
